Most people think that the landscape architext only works with plants. A landscape architext designs appropriate images to each place. Sometimes that means all hardscape or in this case a beautiful sacred image. It is used in walking meditation or contemplative meditation. The project was conceived when Shelley spent time in this space during a silent retreat. The mandala was formulated under the guidance of His Holiness Grandmaster Lin Yun Rinpoche and can be seen at the Yun Lin Cultural Center in Berkeley, California.
